With the founders having over 25 years experience in the arts, JC Talent are an agency that nurtures, guides and supports new young talent emerging from across the West Midlands, representing children from all backgrounds including young artists with disabilities.

Quick info for parents & new artists

  • Yes! Our books are always open to all children to apply for representation all backgrounds, including young artists with disabilities.

  • Absolutely. Your role in this is crucial and we’re here to guide you every step of the way during the process. We offer a parent course to get to know you and make sure you feel comfortable with the processes.

  • To help us get your child ready for the industry we run short courses including courses in self tapes, audition drama monologues and solo singing, focusing on audition pieces.

  • If your child isn’t at a theatre school, but you’d still like to apply then we encourage you to do so, spotting a hidden talent is what we do best! We run workshops and work with affiliated theatre schools across the West Midlands so we can guide you from the start if your child is accepted onto our books.

    For artist management for feature roles your child will need to train in the arts to gain the skills required to succeed in a highly competitive industry.

Quick info for production companies & hirers

  • All children under 16 must be licensed by the Local Authority for any performance work or media project.

    • films, plays, concerts or other public performances that the audience pays to see, or that take place on licensed premises.

    • any sporting events or modelling assignments where the child is paid

    It can take councils up to 21 days to issue a license but the average is around 10 days.

    The person in charge of the event must apply to the child’s local council for a child performance licence. If you are unfamiliar with this process please contact us for advice.

    We are happy to apply for licenses on behalf of production companies at a cost of £35 per child license.

  • Children will require a chaperone on your job. Please contact us for pricing.

    We work with a team of registered chaperones that can accompany our artists to jobs. They professionally manage the balance between children’s well being & need’s and your expectations during your busy production schedule.

  • long-running productions which require the child to take a number of days out of school should also provide a tutor, so that the child does not fall behind on any school work. It's recommended that children and young people have their own green room separate from the adult green room, cast trailers and crew areas.

  • We work with a select few of exceptional Drama coaches who have extensive experience working with children. If you would like to enquire about this service, all of our staff have enhance DBS checks.
